St. Joseph’s welcomes students of all faiths. Our Catholic school is rooted in the gospel teachings of Jesus Christ where daily religion classes lay the foundation of service to others, respect for life, and the dignity of all people.

Prayer

We pray daily in the classroom and as a school community. Students in grades K-6 attend and participate in weekly Mass. Our 3rd-6th grades participate in monthly adoration.

Sacraments

First Reconciliation (Confession) and First Communion preparation are done in the second and third grade classrooms respectively and are celebrated in the Spring each year. Reconciliation is offered to students at regular intervals during the academic year, specifically during the Advent and Lenten penance services.

Service

An integral part of the Catholic faith is service. At St. Joseph School every grade learns the importance of serving others. Students lift the spirits of parishioners by becoming their pen pals. They make cards for nursing home residents and have food drives for the soup kitchen. Casual day funds are donated to organizations who help those in need. These are just a few of the ways we reach out to our brothers and sisters in Christ.

School Traditions

Some of the Catholic traditions woven into our school year that help students dive deeper into their faith include Saint dioramas commemorating All Saints Day, church and Baptistry tours with Fr. Rick, Jesse Tree during Advent, Stations of the Cross throughout Lent, Peace Pole service, May crowning, mass readers, gift learners, choir, and altar services.
