The new Diocesan Health and Physical Education Standards guides our PE program to developers physically literate individuals while developing age appropriate competency within the five standards: Motor skills and movement. Knowledge of concepts, principles, strategies and tactics related to movement and performance. Applying knowledge and skills to achieve and maintain a health-enhancing level of physical activity. Exhibiting Christlike behavior and sportsmanlike conduct in respecting self and others. Recognizing the value of physical activity for health, enjoyment, challenge, self-expression and social interaction.
We strive for these goals using engaging activities to practice skills and keep our bodies moving.
